“Pains disappear within 30 minutes”

I use the Full spectrum CBD + THC daily when I get up in the morning. When I take it my morning aches and pains disappear within 30 minutes. I know this is effective as when I travel and unable to bring it with me I suffer those aches. I cannot take aspirin and this product safely takes the place of a pain reliever.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Delta-8 THC?

Indeed, delta-8 can make you feel high. The psychoactive compound tetrahydrocannabinol, also referred to as delta-8 THC, is found in cannabis plants. For both structure and effects, it is similar to Delta-9 THC, the most well-known and widely consumed psychoactive compound found in cannabis.

Whilst it is known that Delta-8 THC produces a milder high than Delta-9 THC, it might nevertheless have a definite intoxicating impact. Upbeat, calming, and euphoric are usually used to describe its effects. The potency and effects of Delta-8 THC can alter, though, based on the dosage, individual tolerance, and mode of ingestion.

What is CBN?

You’ve probably heard that “counting sheep” is a good way to fall asleep, but do you know where the saying actually comes from? Some scholars speculate that the herdsmen were so watchful of their flock that they were unable to fall asleep unless every sheep was accounted for. While that may have been true way back then, the Technology Age has made sleep an elusive imp to catch. With so many places to see, problems to overthink, and personal issues to worry about, it’s a wonder we get any sleep at all! If you’re plagued by a restless mind that simply refuses to turn off, there may be something that can help! Forget sleeping pills and say hello to what some consumers are calling “The Sleep Cannabinoid.” That’s right, we’re talking about CBN! In today’s article, we’ll be discussing what CBN is, how it differs from CBD, and some of the benefits involved with enjoying this lesser-known hemp compound. Let’s begin!

What Is CBN?

Cannabinol, not to be confused with cannabidiol, is a hemp-derived cannabinoid. CBN, as it’s commonly shortened to, is the main active ingredient in cannabis. When the THC cannabis is heated and exposed to oxygen (Co2), it transforms into CBN. While both CBD and CBN are derivatives of the hemp plant, they contain unique chemical structures that set them apart. Many studies have been conducted on the uses for CBD, but the world is still learning more about how CBN can help in a variety of ways.

How Does CBN Differ From CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD for short, is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found within the hemp plant. In stark contrast, CBN is only formed when THC is heated and exposed to oxygen, meaning the cannabinoid isn’t already present in the hemp plant. This is why CBN is thought to give more relaxing effects while consumers of CBD most likely won’t experience any immediate effects; rather, the effects are felt over an extended period of time (i.e., increased appetite, better energy, improved mood, etc.)

Another interesting difference is the ensuing effects after consumption. CBD, when consumed in regular doses, will not get the user high. Some speculate that if ridiculously large doses of CBD were consumed, there may be a possibility that the user will experience some sort of dizziness or discomfort (read: get high), but the amount would have to be an exorbitant one. CBN, on the other hand, is thought to have mildly psychoactive effects, meaning you may feel somewhat high after consuming a moderate dose. The high would not be anything close to how high you’d get from consuming THC, but enough to label it as somewhat intoxicating.

So What Is CBN Good For?

CBN has several uses in a consumer’s everyday life, including relief from physical discomfort and as a way to combat inflammation. However, CBN is primarily touted as being an exceptional sleep aid. CBD is useful in helping the mind unwind, but the mildly psychoactive properties of CBN are much more effective in terms of promoting sleep. CBN will start to take effect between 30-180 minutes, allowing your mind to relax to the point where you can finally fall asleep. As with any cannabinoid, you should always start slowly with your doses. Wait at least an hour after taking your initial dose; if you don’t feel anything after the allotted time has passed, only then should you consume a second dose.

How Much CBN Should I Take? And When?

Most products that contain CBN will have a recommended dosage listed either on the brands product description or on the back of the product packaging. New users should start off with about 2.5mg of THC per dose of CBN, while more experienced consumers may be more comfortable with a higher dose.

Here at ERTH Wellness, we have three unique product types: gummies, softgels, and tincture. Our Sleepy Blackberry CBN gummies each come with 25mg of CBN as well as a micro-dose of melatonin (1.5mg). The serving size for these gummies is a single piece. Our CBN softgels are flavorless and odorless, perfect for no-nonsense consumers. The softgels contain 25mg of CBD and 5mg of CBN each and are easy to swallow. Lastly, our Mixed Berry CBD+CBN Tincture features a fusion of 25mg of CBD, 8mg of CBN , and 3mg of melatonin per the suggested 1mL serving.

Since CBN helps to promote a restful night’s sleep, it’s encouraged to take your doses about thirty minutes to an hour before bedtime. You should start to feel relaxed and comfortable within this time frame, allowing your body to unwind and prepare for sleep. There are other ways to help your body prepare for sleep, such as shutting off all electronic devices, silencing any possible notifications on your phone, and dimming the lights. These actions can help signal to your brain that it’s time to sleep, thus allowing your brain to finally relax.

Is CBN Legal?

You may have some concerns about legality since CBN has the potential to get you slightly high. As long as CBN is derived from the hemp plant and contains no more than 0.3% THC, it is considered federally legal according to the 2018 Agricultural Act/Farm Bill. Yet since CBN has mildly intoxicating effects, some states will treat the cannabinoid similarly to marijuana. For a long time, consumers were only able to acquire CBN with a prescription from a licensed medical professional or from regulated state-approved dispensaries. While CBD is readily available from big box retailers and organic grocery stores, CBN is somewhat more difficult to obtain. It’s strongly recommended to check your local state laws to ensure you’re able to purchase and consume any CBN products.

Conclusion

Cannabis has become more appreciated and respected, no longer shunned as a way for unmotivated or slovenly users to get high. Thanks to the wonders of modern science and technology, there are over 100 known cannabinoids within the hemp plant. Most of us are already familiar with the major ones like CBD and THC, but it’s the lesser known ones that continue to excite and delight consumers on a daily basis. If you struggle with getting a good night’s sleep or find it difficult to coax your mind to unwind after a long day, CBN may be able to help. The mildly intoxicating effects combined with the ability to help your mind stop racing wildly can offer a way to finally snag a few zzz’s. Due to the slight psychoactive properties, you’ll need to confirm whether or not it’s legal to purchase and consume CBN where you live. If it is, be sure to start off with low doses until your body is accustomed to the effects. If you feel like that dose is too low, wait at least an hour before consuming your next dose.

Here at Erth Wellness, we are dedicated to helping you experience a refreshing slumber that leaves you feeling energized and ready to start the day. Our products have been crafted with premium ingredients that are free of heavy metals, pesticides, and harmful solvents. In our next article, we’ll be discussing another lesser-known cannabinoid: CBG! Be sure to check back soon for this and other topics regarding the fascinating cannabis industry. We look forward to seeing you there!

How Much CBD should I take?

When first starting out on a CBD regiment, many consumers will simply guess their dosages and hope for the best. The problem is that this method makes it difficult for your body, specifically your endocannabinoid system, to have enough to go around. It’s also why some people claim that CBD is simply a gimmick and doesn’t do diddly-squat for them. Yet science has proven otherwise, as cannabidiol is an excellent homeopathic remedy for treating both mental and physical ailments.

From helping you better manage stress, warding off uneasiness, and battling insomnia to easing muscle/joint discomfort, dealing with certain cancers, and lessening the frequency of epileptic seizures, CBD has a plethora of uses that have been confirmed through countless studies. But how much CBD should you take? This article will help explain how to figure out the dosage that's right for you. Let’s begin!

Calculating the Right Dosage

In our previous article, we explained in great detail how to know the amount of CBD in various products (tinctures, inhalables, edibles, etc). Now comes the slightly more difficult part: finding out how much of a dosage you should be taking. Dosages are a bit tricky in that no dosage works across the board for each consumer. The dosage that works for your friend may not be what your body needs. A good rule of thumb is to start off with 5mg and work your way up from there, but if you’re wanting a more scientific approach, you’ve come to the right place! Let’s take a look at how to measure dosage according to your body mass.

Dosage According To Body Mass

The world is full of beautiful people that come in all shapes and sizes. That being said, it makes sense to assume that people with larger body mass will most likely need higher doses of CBD, and vice versa. If you’re looking for a more scientific approach to finding the dosage that works for you, try using the following calculation: 1-6mg of CBD per 10 lbs of body weight.

For example, if you weigh 150lbs and the severity of your symptoms are low (1mg), you may need about 15mg of CBD per day. If you weigh 150 lbs and have a medium severity (3mg) of your symptoms, you’ll probably want to look into a higher dose of around 45mg. We’ve created a chart to simplify this calculation and to help you gauge the dosage by your weight

Severity & Weight

This chart is only for estimation purposes and should be used to help you figure out a good starting point. You may find that you need more or less than what’s mentioned on the chart. It’s always a good idea to start off with low dosages and work your way up. This chart can help you have a better understanding of how much you may need to work up to in order to find the dosage that works for you.

Tailor Your Dosages To You, Not Your Peers

It’s crucial to understand that CBD does not work the same for every individual. You are unique! The amount of CBD that your friend takes may vary drastically from the amount that you do, and that’s completely okay. For example, if your friend has a similar weight and build that you do, it might be tempting to think that the same amount will be appropriate for your personal dosage. But there are many other things to consider. Do you take certain medications? How about supplements or vitamins? Have you used any substances that may alter the threshold of your THC tolerance? How do you handle stress? Are you physically active? How frequently and how much do you eat? Do you get ample amounts of sleep or just enough to get by? All of these things and others affect your body’s biochemistry. Just because you might appear to be of a similar weight and height as your peer does not automatically mean that your CBD dosages will be identical.

Dosages Can Vary By Product Type & Consumption Method

In our last article entitled How To Know The Amount Of CBD In Each Product Type, we detailed how the amount of CBD in a specific product may vary from another type (i.e., tinctures vs softgels) as well as the biochemistry (the absorption rate) differs from edibles to inhalables. You may prefer to ingest a softgel with your morning vitamin routine while your peers may prefer to smoke a pre-roll after a long day. The amount of CBD consumed as well as absorbed will most likely differ, so you’ll want to experiment with various types of CBD products until you find the product with the appropriate dosage that works for you.

Get Professional Advice

We live in an era where medical professionals abound, many of them being very familiar with CBD. Some doctors may recommend a particular product type and dosage that they’ve seen as quite successful, whereas others may strongly recommend you avoid it due to other medication, health issues, etc. Since there’s still much research to be conducted on all that CBD does, it’s important to consult your primary care physician prior to starting any CBD regiment. Try to find a professional who has experience with CBD in addition to your normal doctor; listen to what these people have to say and adjust your lifestyle in accordance.

Final Thoughts

Our last article focused on helping shed some light on how much CBD is in various product types. This article seeks to help you understand how much CBD you should take. There’s no one dose that works across the board for everyone. It’s always encouraged to start off slowly, usually with 5-10mg, and work your way up from there. There’s also some calculations you can try prior to taking your preferred CBD type, such as by weight and severity of symptoms. Remember that just because your peers have found their sweet spot (in terms of product type and dosage) does not mean that the same dosage will work for you. Above all, consult your doctor and ask questions on how CBD can make an impactful change in your life. Once you get the approval to start a CBD regiment, it’s off to the races!

Should you have any questions, our team of CBD experts are ready and waiting to help you find (and understand) the answers. In our next article, we’ll be discussing an interesting question that you may have already wondered about: “are CBD capsules or tinctures better for me?” The answers to this and much more await you in our very next article. We hope to see you again soon!

What is HHC and How Does it Compare to THC?
Here’s What You Need to Know About HHC

After the legalization of Delta-8 products, the legal cannabis market is introducing a more comprehensive range of cannabinoid products, such as HHC gummies. Following the enormous success of Delta-8 THC as a legal alternative to the more controlled availability of Delta-9 THC, producers of cannabis plants have sought out other lesser-known hydrogenated cannabinoids and hemp-derived cannabinoids.

The said alternatives are to compete in the diverse cannabis plant marketplace. Hexahydrocannabinol, also known as HHC, is one of the newest and most promising hemp plant and hemp-derived products.

Here’s a brief look into everything known about HHC, its legality, and what the future holds for this unique cannabinoid.

How is HHC Produced?

HHC is a THC that has been hydrogenated. It is naturally found in hemp, but only in trace amounts. To create HHC, a sophisticated process is used to saturate the THC molecule with hydrogen atoms in the presence of high pressure and a catalyst such as nickel or palladium to obtain a usable amount.

This process breaks THC’s double bond chemical structure and replaces it with hydrogen, yet the cannabinoid’s effects and potency remain essentially unchanged. When THC oxidizes, it forms two new double bonds. The resulting natural or synthetic compound, known as cannabinol (CBN), has a longer shelf life and is only about 10% of the psychoactive potency of THC.

Does HHC Get You High? Is it Legal?

For some users, HHC may be more intense than Delta-9, despite having about 80% of high potency cannabis sativa. Its pharmacological effects are typically described by sensitive users as a feeling that is much more pronounced than Delta-9 THC.

The HHC legal status is uncertain, as are other minor oxygenated cannabinoids like Delta-8 THC. However, it will not appear on a drug test and is not on the list of known controlled substances.

THC Basics: What You Need to Know?

Some users say that the feeling produced by HHC is closer to Delta-9 in potency but has more similarities to Delta-8 THC. In general, the effects of HHC are very similar to those of THC.

Like THC edibles, the effects of HHC need a bit longer to kick in but last the longest. For some people, feelings produced by HHC can be noticeable for up to six hours after consumption, while others report high tolerance after taking HHC products a couple of times.

Learn More About HHC and THC

Each cannabinoid is distinct in its own way. Ultimately, it all depends on what you’re looking for.

When it comes to determining which is better, HHC or THC, it all boils down to personal preferences and what you're looking for at the time. HHC gummies will produce a more potent high than Delta-8 in higher doses, but Delta-8 provides a more focused high with relaxing effects.

At ERTH WELLNESS, our purpose is to deliver both education and high-quality HHC and THC products so that you can make the best choice regarding your personal health and wellness journey and live a balanced lifestyle without any safety concerns.
