As the legalization of cannabis continues to span throughout the country, more and more people are eager to learn about the benefits of this plant, as well as its derivatives. One such derivative, hemp, or its key therapeutic ingredient known as cannabidiol, has the misconception that it will get the consumer “high” or in an altered state of mind after consuming. However, that couldn’t be farther from the truth, and we’re going to look at why below.
What is CBD?
CBD is one of the several cannabinoids, known as chemical compounds, that is found in the cannabis plant. The most famous cannabinoid found in this plant is obviously THC, which is the psychoactive component that gets people high after they consume marijuana. It’s important to understand that these compounds are entirely separate from one another, which means that CBD can be pulled without the effects of THC attached.
However, that doesn’t mean that CBD doesn’t come with its own slew of benefits that are entirely original to the compound, including:
- uneasiness reduction
- Insomnia support
- Anti-inflammatory treatments
What Does CBD Oil Feel Like?
Rather than binding to your cannabinoid receptors like THC does to create that feeling of being high, CBD works indirectly with these receptors to increase the level of endocannabinoids that are produced by your body. The result is a feeling of relaxation and relief that can be felt throughout the entire body, whether the CBD is ingested orally or through vaporization
The effects are “mild” and not drastically noticeable. CBD has no adverse affect on your mental state, performance, or safety, as it does not target the receptors in the same way that THC does. Basically, it’s a natural discomfort reliever that doesn’t come with the side effects of marijuana that can be dangerous and unprofessional in one’s daily life.
WIll I pass my drug test?
Full Spectrum Hemp Oil Extract products will contain trace amounts of THC (0.3%). Although purchasing or carrying this amount is federally legal, there is still no way to determine if the THC is from Marijuana or Hemp and there is a small chance that taking a Full spectrum I.E. Tincture or Softgel may flag a drug test. Until this difference of the two or the threshold reported on drug test are lowered is is recommended to avoid Full Spectrum Product. We recommend a THC Free CBD Oil.
THC cannot enter your bloodstream through your skin and will not show on a drug test.
Is CBD Oil Right for You?
CBD is on the rise, with a reported $350 million spent on the newfound products in 2017 alone. If you’re considering this new kind of natural compound that can treat discomfort, neurological disorders, and uneasiness, know that you are not alone. The industry is only going to keep growing in size, and with good reason: CBD Is a completely naturally occurring compound that doesn’t require any chemicals or toxins to make it valuable.
